Civil Engineering as a profession will ever be a haunt of learners because of its vital importance in human life from the time immemorial. Designing, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings need a thorough grounding in the application skills of Civil engineering. The oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, is traditionally been arraigned into several sub-disciplines including Environmental engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Structural engineering, Transportation engineering, Municipal or Urban engineering, Water resources engineering, Materials engineering, Coastal engineering, surveying, and Construction engineering. Civil engineering takes place on all levels: in the public sector from municipal through to federal levels, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.

Program Objectives:
A student who graduates successfully with Diploma in Civil Engineering shall be able to:
• acquire basic technical knowledge in Civil Engg field
• develop technical skills to work as Junior Enggr/Supervisor at various construction sites/Govt. depts.
• develop entrepreneurship leadership capacities
• apply problem solving skills for a given situation
• develop learning and presentation skills
• observe and acclimatise with work environment at construction sites and organisations
• know the role and responsibilities of a Technician in an organisational structure.
• grow and shape his persona, hone Communication skills, develop positive attitude and a sense of social and moral responsibilities.
Program Outcomes
After completing Diploma in Civil Engg, the student would be
• eligible to work as Junior Engineer in Govt / Pvt organisations
• capable of handling construction sites as supervisor
• able to work as Private / registered Govt contractor.
• eligible to enroll for higher education with privileged status (direct admission to second year B.E.)
• capable to set up his own Civil Engg or setup.
